James M. Mars, ChFC, CFP™ is the director of VisionPoint. Jim began his career in 1975 as an advisor with Mass Mutual. Jim left Mass Mutual in 1981 to launch his own financial services practice. VisionPoint currently has advisors in three locations, West Des Moines, Dallas, and Sioux Falls. VisionPoint provides objective customized solutions in the following areas:

• Private Client financial and wealth management solutions
• Corporate Retirement Plan solutions
• Corporate Executive Compensation and Succession solutions

Jim believes the ultimate success of a business is its ability to succeed into the next generation of owners and managers. As director of VisionPoint, Jim sees this as his primary responsibility and challenge. Jim is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP™) professional. Jim has also received the CFPN Certified™ designations from Atlanta-based Christian Financial Professionals Network (CFPN). The CFPN Certified™ designation is earned by financial professionals who have met CFPN’s standards in training, integrity, character and competence as an Advisor, Leader and Counselor.
